I have been playing wheelchair basketball for about 12 years and playing national league for four years
How and when did you get in to wheelchair basketball?
I had a taster session at Nottingham when I was at college, then I started looking for a club in Suffolk to play the sport. I found a club in Ipswich where they play for fun. Then in 2012 we went and watched wheelchair basketball at the Paralympics and I was asked ‘why don’t you try and get in to a national league team?’ so I started at Bury Bombers in September 2012. Within a year I was asked to go and have a look at Eastern Blue Stars women’s team.

What do you like best about Women’s League?
Having fun and enjoy playing basketball with friends from all over UK. It’s nice that it is all in one venue so you can watch Division One and Division Two games while you talk to friends and wait for your games start. It’s also nice to have a weekend away to gel with the team.
